Virtual Corporate Wellness Program, Uptick: Program Overview
Three Months to Better Health and Performance
Over the past few years, our world has become more hybrid than ever. So many of us are no longer commuting to work, interacting among one another at the work place in person and returning to the comfort of our homes. While hybrid work offers flexibility, it also introduces challenges that can negatively affect overall wellbeing. Consider us as your corner crew in a championship fight. In this fight, there is no belt to win. There is additional life to win and additional life that is condition free. While we knowingly perform work for our employers, we simultaneously and perhaps unknowingly are neglecting our own personal wellness. This neglect increases our risk to health issues across the board. There are a variety of solutions to mitigate such risks and reverse the curve.
Over the past decade, SAAF has delivered corporate wellness programs for a handful of publicaly traded companies (Mcdonalds, Coca Cola, Volkswagen, Isuzu, Honda, I Am Gold) with very strong and lasting results for the participants and the company as a whole. SAAF has retrofitted these programs into the environment of the remote workforce. If your remote workers have enough space to take Three Steps in each direction, they are well positioned to get outstanding results. With over 4,000 graduates, SAAF is ready willing and able to improve the quality of life for your remote workers and increase the overall productivity of your workforce.
Approach
We understand what is at stake over the long term for you (the remote worker) and for you (the company). The remote worker by default of being homebound, is less active and more likely to gain weight and increase the risk of impactful health conditions. The company is at risk of the workforce being less productive, attentive, cohesive and present due to increased sick days needed. All of the above affects the production level bottom line, profits and share value.
We address these risks at their root by creating sustainable changes within the daily lifestyle of your workforce, seamlessly integrated into their remote environment. Our coaching team meets employees where they are, ensuring that no one is left behind and that the entire team succeeds together. Comprised of a consortium of health professionals — including doctors, nurses, physical therapists, master trainers, dietitians, nutritionists, and psychologists — we serve as your corner team in a championship fight. Here, the victory isn’t a belt; it’s better health, greater vitality, and a life free from preventable conditions. There is more life to gain, and more health to enjoy.
Our goal is to bring out the very best in your workforce and celebrate their journey to better health.
And for the company, the goal is to improve overall productivity, which translates into increased share value.
“SAAF CAMP is a valued stakeholder in saving lives in Suriname and we hope to share these NCD prevention methods with the world …” – Winston Lackin, Minister Of Foreign Affairs, Suriname
“We are both blessed and lucky to have this program.
Bless you Keith for all that you have done for us. Continue in your efforts to heal the world …”
– Linda C. (see written and video testimonials in our guestbook here)
Why It Matters (NCD Impact + Corporate ROI)
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) — including heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and hypertension — are silently eroding workforce productivity. Globally, NCDs contribute to:
- Lost workdays and presenteeism – employees struggle to perform at full capacity
- Rising healthcare costs – companies face higher insurance premiums and medical claims
- Reduced employee engagement – poor health impacts morale and retention
Corporate Uptick addresses these challenges head-on. Our clinically guided, virtual program equips employees
with the tools, knowledge, and ongoing support to:
- Improve cardiovascular and metabolic health
- Adopt sustainable fitness and nutrition habits
- Reduce stress and enhance resilience
- Strengthen overall wellbeing for higher productivity
For consultants and corporate leaders, this means measurable ROI: fewer sick days, improved morale, enhanced team cohesion, and long-term cost savings — all documented and trackable.
Corporate wellness isn’t just a perk; it’s a strategic investment in the health, efficiency, and culture of your organization.

Equivalent to less than $40/hour per participant, covering services from our team of certified health professionals. As a registered 501(c)(3), certain costs may be tax-deductible.
** According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and Gallup, absenteeism costs U.S. employers roughly $3,600/year per hourly worker and $2,650/year per salaried employee. The CDC Workplace Health Resource Center estimates productivity losses from absenteeism cost $1,685 per employee per year on average. When you add presenteeism (working while sick/unwell), global estimates climb to $2,000–$5,000+ per employee annually.
** At less than $40/hour — or about $2,500 per employee for the entire 3-month program — Uptick costs less than the average annual loss from absenteeism and presenteeism, which ranges between $2,000–$5,000 per employee depending on the industry. In other words, one successful participant can offset their full program cost by simply reducing a few days of absence or working more effectively.

Significant reduction in chronic disease risk
While the pandemic highlighted acute illness, chronic diseases (NCDs) remain the silent killer — claiming 40 million lives annually. Uptick directly addresses risk factors for diabetes, hypertension, and other NCDs with biometric screenings, nutrition guidance, and sustained lifestyle changes.
Attraction and retention of top talent
Wellness-rich workplaces are magnets for top performers. Publicly visible wellness initiatives, like Uptick, improve employer brand and strengthen retention. Employees who feel valued and cared for rarely leave.
Lower employee turnover
Turnover is driven less by pay and more by trust, empathy, and workplace culture. Uptick builds those bonds — from healthy food initiatives to inclusive family days. A strong culture of care translates into loyalty and stability.
Strengthening psychological safety and social bonds
By design, Uptick fosters meaningful connections among employees. Shared health goals and group activities build community, improve morale, and enhance psychological safety, which directly fuels engagement and creativity.
The “Uptick Effect” on equity shares
The program’s name reflects its potential impact not only on health but also on shareholder value. A healthier, more efficient workforce drives measurable gains in productivity and cost savings. For publicly traded companies, this translates into stronger financial performance and the potential to uptick equity share value through improved operational efficiency and reduced healthcare spend.
